  2. I don’t see the big deal with this. He was essentially saying that he would wait to hear what his leader said before he made his opinion public. It’s all part of being a team player, right?

    That’s a rather generous assessment of what Shorten himself says when he admits he doesn’t know what Gillard said, supports her anyway, and further adds that even not knowing what she said, ‘I’m sure she’s right.’ I wouldn’t call that ‘waiting to hear what his leader said before he made his opinion public’… :)
