I was thinking about this last night as I was filling up the tank on our car and, to add some perspective, realised that none of the items in this info graphic are purchased to the same level of quantity as a weekly fuel budget. So we don’t complain about these because though a Grande Latte from Starbucks costs $32/gallon, nobody buys 10 gallons of it per week. So when fuel jumps 10c/L there’s a noticeable difference in my pocket and over a year that all adds up a large chunk. How much more coffee could I have spent that on!!
