Buy Coffee

The Order Form

The St. Eutychus Coffee Roastery currently offers paypal web orders, if you’d rather pay by direct debit or cash – that’s fine too. But you’ll have to email me.

Single origins rotate based on availability, blends are whatever I’m currently playing with. Both are roasted lighter than the stuff you buy in a supermarket, and are suitable for brewed coffee, and espresso. The blend is slightly darker, and better for espresso.

Coffee roasted to order

The best coffee is freshly roasted coffee, and unless you’re committed to standing outside the door of your local roaster and grabbing a bag off the production line, coffee by mail order, from roaster to post box, is as fresh as it gets. I’ll roast your order and have it in the mail on the day you order it.

Coffee should be used in a window between 3 days and 21 days after roasting. Some say it’s best between 10 and 15 days. So order an amount that you can consume in these periods. Coffee is best ground to order, but I will grind coffee for you begrudgingly upon request (email me when you order).

Please note:

  • If you want the coffee ground, rather than as whole beans, please contact me via email after you’ve ordered.
  • I offer discounted rates to churches looking for a steady supply of coffee beans or fellow QTC students – to order at a discounted rate contact me by email.

Roasting

I currently buy my green beans from Ministry Grounds – a co-op run by Neil Atwood, a youth minister in the Blue Mountains. Green beans are incredibly cheap – a quarter of the price of roasted beans from specialty roasters or supermarkets. Freshly roasted coffee is also exponentially greater than stuff bought in a supermarket.

I recommend roasting your own beans – you can do it using a popcorn maker, for two years I roasted mine in a breadmaker with a heat gun, all you need is heat and agitation. If you can’t roast your own beans then the next best thing (both economically and in terms of quality) is to buy them from someone who does. If you’re in Brisbane I am happy to supply beans at very reasonable rates (price varies depending on the variety). If you’re elsewhere I’m also happy to mail beans around the country – at your cost (postage wise).

Book my services
Is your church holding an event that would benefit from great coffee? Are you having a party? I have a 3 group commercial machine available for hire for events in the Brisbane area. It comes complete with a Macap M4 grinder, beans, and (if required) the services of a friendly barista (that would be me). Hire is subject to availability and at a reasonable rate to be negotiated based on the type of event and the number of people attending. If you are interested in booking my machine and my services for your event please email me.

  1. Ok. So I have just found this page on the website. Obviously I can order from you.
The next time I am heading up to Brisbane, I might try to catch up with you to talk about all this!
