It goes through one ball of yarn a year, so it’s both clock and calendar. In a way. But the downside is you’re always wearing last year’s fashion.
These headphones creatively titled (more creatively than this post anyway) “I Am Not A Doctor” are designed to make you appear to be just that. A doctor. While you listen to your tunes, or podcasts, and walk around in medical garb.

The start of this project was a focus on light sources.
Instead of completely designing a newly shaped lamp, ‘Relumine’ plays on the fact that we all have to switch from old light bulbs to new energy saving light sources.Each ‘Relumine’ uses two, discarded lamps, which are disassembled, sanded, newly lacquered and adapted with newer technology, before they are connected by a glass tube which holds a fluorescent tube.
By introducing a different mean of light source to the old lamps, their look and feel changes completely. They become one new unit, each with its own character.
Together these two lamps need less energy than each one in its previous life.
Keeping Christmas wrapping paper lying around the house all year is a recipe for disaster come the July birthday season. Not everybody likes getting birthday presents wrapped in santa wrapping paper. Trust me. As a Christmas baby I know this to be true.
So get a batch of this all purpose stuff.
This is brilliant. It’s like a venus fly clock. It’s the creation of mad scientists Auger and Loizeau. Eight dead flies equals 12 days of clock power.
“This robot uses flypaper as it’s means of entrapment. This paper is placed on a roller mechanism. At the base of the roller a scraper removes any captured insects. These fall into the microbial fuel cell placed underneath. The electricity generated by the flies is used to power both a motor turning the rollers and a small LCD clock.”
I hate flies. But this is a step closer to robots taking over the world and feeding on humans. Just saying.

This typographic world map, available on Etsy, is quite incredible and more than a little bit clever. Rather than drawing borders the countries are created using the names of cities, landmarks, and nations.
The other day I found ten pretty cool mugs and posted them on thebeanstalker.com – they were cool. But this is mindblowing.
